The Ed Perry Collection contains DVD recordings and a program from the Capitol Centennial Celebration in 2003. It also consists of eight pieces of correspondence from various state leaders to Dr. William J. Hooper, Director of the Mississippi Law Research Institute, who solicited tributes statements about Perry.

Ed Perry represented the Oxford district in the Mississippi House of Representatives from 1968 until his retirement in 1999. During his tenure, he served as chairman of numerous committee, including Appropriations, Constitution, Municipalities, Judiciary "A," and Judiciary En Banc.
